WINE: Inniskillin Late Autumn Riesling

Got to recommend this one: Inniskillin Late Autumn Riesling, 2003

Ontario wine? You betcha. This is a quasi-ice wine, and Ontario does good ice wines.

We're heading off tomorrow to a resort for a law conference, and I'm tucking a bottle of this into our bags, just in case. It's versatile. It's delectable. It's sweet.

This wine is very sweet. Sugar code is 3 or 4. Puts a gwertz to shame. But don't ignore it just for that. It's ice wine lite, in my opinion, but if you don't like ice wine, you might want to try this to see what you're missing.

This is a fantastic late-Saturday afternoon or post-dinner sipper. Or perhaps a before dinner aperitif, especially if you know that after dinner, you'll sneak back to your room to escape the boring legal beagles and polish off the bottle while you sit in front of the fire.

And if you don't like it, well, send the rest of the bottle over to me.
